Polygon Construction Module

Overview of Module Students will use a variety of methods to draw polygons: protractor, compass and ruler, LOGO software, and paper folding.

Goals:

  • Students learn about constructions with compass and straightedge.
  • Students practice using ruler, protractor and compass.
  • Students use recursion in a programming environment.
  • Students use variables in a programming environment.
  • Students use and identify properties of polygons.
  • Students use LOGO software.
  • Students develop and justify procedures.
